Teresa Munby Ceramics

Oxfordshire and the Isle of Mull

Teresa Munby is a member of the Oxfordshire Crafts Guild and divides her time between her studios in Dervaig and Oxford.

Teresa Munby’s work is inspired by the natural world in places she has loved to visit and spend time: Ailebrack, on the wild west coast of Ireland; The Isles of Scilly, an archipelago off the South West tip of Cornwall; and most recently Dervaig on the Isle of Mull. In her studios, you will see how pieces are made and some of the natural inspiration behind them.

Teresa’s Inspiration…

Teresa’s inspiration comes from a love of the natural world. This includes flora and fauna, the texture and pattern of rocks and sand and the colour and light from sea and skyscapes.
She enjoys creating textures and abstracting from shapes and phenomena in the natural world, experimenting with different methods and techniques to create highly unusual and unique ceramics.
